Overview

The SEQ Digital Twin Program is a key initiative by the Queensland Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, supporting Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games preparations. Designed to enhance urban planning, infrastructure management, and decision-making, the program leverages real-time data and 3D modelling to optimise transport, infrastructure, and city operations for the Games and beyond, ensuring long-term economic growth and sustainability.

Our Approach

SEQ’s Digital Twin faced key challenges in:

  • Defining governance and assurance frameworks to ensure seamless cross-agency collaboration.

  • Developing a clear implementation strategy to transition from concept to execution.

  • Prioritising and managing use cases to deliver tangible value.

  • Integrating diverse data sources to support real-time decision-making.

Our approach addressed these challenges by developing a structured program roadmap, implementing data governance strategies, and ensuring alignment with SEQ’s infrastructure and digital transformation goals.

Key Outcomes

  • Developed a comprehensive Program Implementation Plan to guide rollout.

  • Defined governance and assurance frameworks for multi-agency coordination.

  • Prioritised key use cases across urban planning, transport, and infrastructure.

  • Enabled digital capability uplift across stakeholders through strategic engagement.
