The Australian Government established NBN Co Limited to invest up to $43 billion over eight years delivering superfast broadband nationally. NBN Co will build and operate the network, providing 90% ‘fibre to the premises’ coverage and delivering speeds of 100 megabits per second Australia-wide.
Solution:
Project Advisory Group team helped in developing a bespoke NBN project controls methodology, combining industry-leading planning capability with best practice tools for unprecedented transparency and effective real-time reporting across the project lifecycle to ensure NBN contractors of increased control over resources and physical locations to protect contractual interests.

Key Outcomes & Benefits:
As a result of this, Project Advisory Group developed baseline schedules and progress monitoring of the above projects. Project Advisory Group established project schedules weekly and generated progress reports meeting NBN’s strict guidelines and requirements. Project Advisory Group also managed and executed the tender schedules for the Tier 1 bid, on behalf of John Holland- Conneq JV. These schedules were resource-loaded using primavera P6, and generated the resource requirements, which became the input to the tender pricing.
